Morgan comes to Garfield Re-2 from Sand Creek High School in Colorado Springs where he has served as assistant principal. Prior to his administrative role, Morgan was a social science instructor at Sand Creek for six years. He earned his Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix in 2003, and his Bachelors of Arts in Social Science from Regis University in 1995. Morgan is excited to come to the Western Slope of Colorado. “My wife an I grew up in a small community. We’ve been very selective in the communities that we have been looking at. We love this area. We knew this would be a great opportunity, and so we took advantage of it,” said Morgan. He plans on focusing on relationship building within the Garfield Re-2 and Coal Ridge communities. “I believe that we all have to work together as a team. I believe that communication is the biggest part of building relationships,” he explained. “People and kids are like a bank. You can’t take something out, unless you put something in, and I plan on putting a lot of time and effort into this.” |
